Bernard McNally: The test for AFC Telford is to react again
AFC Telford United’s trip to Southport on Saturday will test the Bucks’ character to see how well they react after the 1-0 Kidderminster defeat.
But they’ve shown resilience this year and when they’ve needed too they dusted themselves off and started again.
I expect to see the same at the home of the Sandgrounders on Saturday after Telford’s five-match winning run was ended – there’s a lot of character in that side.
Gavin this week said the Bucks will target top half and then possibly look at the play-offs, he will be telling his players to start another run now – that’s the way you have to view it and I’m pretty certain that they will do.
Telford will face tough games this season because they’ve put themselves up near the top of National League North to be shot at.
You have to respond and realise that every game between now and the end of the season is going to be vital.
