The 26-year-old left the Bucks earlier this season for Chester, leading to a row between the clubs - in which Telford reported their National League North opponents for an 'illegal' approach.

Dawson then went on to join League Two Macclesfield, only to find out he was ineligible to play for the club due to a player only being allowed to play for two clubs over the course of a single season.

Telford boss Gavin Cowan was happy to welcome Dawson back to the New Bucks Head to help with their push for playoff success.

“Everyone is thrilled to have Adam back at the club. He went away in pursuit of minutes that we couldn’t promise him at the time, and we were very supportive of that." Cowan said.

“We talk a lot about loyalty in the group and we all remember when Adam unlocked defenders for us earlier on in the season so some of points can be accredited to him. He realises what an unbelievable group of lads and staff we have and was desperate to come back and thank us for the support we have shown him.

“To bring him in at this stage gives us another dimension and the players were pleased to see him at training on Thursday night.”

Dawson was also delighted to make his return to Shropshire, admitting that he and Cowan had kept in touch following his exit earlier this campaign.

He also made the move to explain his initial move away from the club - admitting that he was keen to get more time on the pitch.

"I am over the moon to be back at the club, the gaffer has always kept in touch with me & we’ve always had a very good relationship. My relationship with the lads in the dressing room has been fantastic and I have always kept in touch with them and they have all supported my decision to return." He said.

“I left at the time because I felt I needed more game time to help with my development. Unfortunately, I have suffered from the two-club rule which has prevented me from playing for Macclesfield Town.”

"I feel it’s important I apologise to everyone at the club including the supporters for the way my departure ended. I want to come back and help the team gain promotion and I am here to achieve what everyone else does at the club and put in some good performances.”
