Bernard McNally: Trophy ties could prove to be tense for AFC Telford

I want to take this opportunity to wish AFC Telford the very best of luck.

This weekend it’s the first leg of their FA Trophy semi-final clash with Leyton Orient.

And I’ve got every faith Gavin Cowan and his players can travel to Brisbane Road and get a result.

It’s important to remember that whatever happens on Saturday it will still only be half-time.

And a narrow defeat for the Bucks wouldn’t be the end of the world.

But they are enjoying a remarkable season.

Gavin has got his players believing in themselves and playing with confidence. And both home and away, they are going to be cheered on by a wonderful support.

I think both games could be quite tense. I really don’t think there will be a lot in it.

But while they are underdogs, I give Telford every chance. And I’ve got to admit I can’t wait to be at the New Bucks Head for the second leg. It could be unforgettable.
