AFC Telford's Josef Bursik selected for England U19's
AFC Telford's goalkeeper Josef Bursik has been called up for the U19 England squad for a trio of U19 Championship Elite Round matches later this month.
Bursik, who is currently on loan from Championship side Stoke City, has been performing well for Bucks and has had his good form rewarded with his first international call up at this age group.
The 18 year old stopper will link up with Keith Downing's squad next week, who are aiming to secure a place in the summer's finals in Armenia.
England kick-off against Czech Republic first on Wednesday 20 March, before they tackle Greece in the second game on Saturday 23 March.
The final game with Denmark takes place on Tuesday 26 March, with all three games being staged at St. George’s Park.
Bursik joins Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White in the 21 strong group.
Unfortunately for Gavin Cowan's men, Bursik is cup-tied for the away clash at Leyton Orient tomorrow afternoon in the FA Trophy semi-final first leg.
Meanwhile, ex Shrewsbury defender Dom Smith is available for tomorrow's match, following his recall from Alfreton Town earlier this week.
