AFC Telford to get a vote on season
AFC Telford United will today be presented with the opportunity to vote on the outcome of their National League North season.
League bosses have distributed a number of options to clubs across all three of its divisions with a deadline on votes to be submitted later this week.
Options are likely to include whether action is played on without grants as part of the winter survival package, or whether the 2020/21 season is brought to an early conclusion.
If clubs do vote to bring the season to a close due to a reluctance to accept repayable loans as funding, then they will elect whether the campaign be null and void or decided on a points-per-game basis.
Is is thought that there will be separate outcomes for National League clubs at step one and North and South clubs at step two. Step one is likely to play on, with promotion and relegation to the EFL on the agenda.
The opinion has been mixed from clubs who have made public their thoughts on the season’s conclusion.
