The 22-year-old, previously a trialist having trained and played for the Bucks, was unveiled prior to Saturday's friendly defeat to Walsall – after signing a one year deal to keep him at the club until May 2023.

His move was officially confirmed by both clubs afterwards.

The youngster joined the Shaymen in January this year, having previously played for Alvechurch and Coleshill Town.

Midfielder McLintock was a highly-rated prospect coming through at Alvechurch, from whom he then had trials at Football League outfit Cheltenham before Halifax swooped for what was thought of as an exciting coup.

But he was unable to force his way into the National League outfit's starting side. McLintock also spent time on loan at Stalybridge Celtic last season.
