The playmaker has not started in the Premier League this season after missing the whole of the previous campaign with a serious knee injury.
Villa are back in talks with Fenerbahce over the sale of defender Diego Carlos and Emery will not stand in Buendia’s way, should he also want to leave.
A loan deal is currently considered most likely and Emery said: “He (Buendia) had last year a long injury but he started this year progressively getting better.
“He didn’t feel 100 per cent in the season until now. But now he is playing more minutes and helping the team.
“But maybe he can have the possibility to leave. For him, it could be something where he can play more, get more minutes, get confidence again and being comfortable playing again in the starting XI. Of course, now he is helping us and I am happy with his attitude.”
Fenerbahce have rekindled their interest in Carlos after talks appeared to have broken down earlier this week.
Sevilla’s Loic Bade is high on Villa’s list of targets should the Brazilian defender depart.
