Will Whieldon moves on from Market Drayton Town
Midfielder Will Whieldon has left Market Drayton to join their Evo-Stik First Division South rivals Chasetown.
Whieldon enjoyed three seasons at Greenfields after joining from the Port Vale academy. He netted more than 30 times in that period with his best scoring season coming last year with 15.
Drayton host their first friendly against St Martins on Tuesday, July 11, visit The New Saints for their County Cup quarter-final two days later and meet Nantwich on July 15.
The Nantwich game is part of a debut Drayton Town Festival of Football, which will also showcase their new reserve team which has been accepted into the West Midlands Regional League.
