FA investigation over Whitchurch Alport tie
Whitchurch Alport are under investigation for a potential administrative error in the FA Vase.
The Yockings Park outfit’s second qualifying round tie at Highgate United was postponed on Saturday as their previous game in the competition, winning on penalties after drawing 4-4 with Pershore Town following extra-time, is being looked into.
The Vase first round draw has been made and Haughmond will welcome Worksop Town to Shrewsbury Sports Village while Shifnal Town head to Westfields.
Those ties will take place on Saturday, October 21 and winning clubs will receive £825 from the FA’s prize fund.
