Ellesmere Rangers appoint management duo

Ellesmere Rangers have appointed Jamie Haynes and Kevin Sandwith as joint managers.

Haynes and Sandwith have taken the reins at the West Midlands Premier side following the departure of Richard Brown.

They arrive with 'excellent coaching experience and qualifications', according to Rangers.

A club statement said: "Jamie is an experienced player having started as a professional at Shrewsbury Town & has played for Newtown & Caersws in the Welsh Premier league as well as several clubs in the English non-league scene – Market Drayton Town, Leek Town, Newcastle Town & Redditch.

"Kevin has significant Football League experience at Carlisle United, Doncaster Rovers, Lincoln City, Chester City, Oxford United, Macclesfield Town & Mansfield Town as well as non-League at Telford United & Weymouth.

"Both come with excellent coaching experience & qualifications.

"The committee were impressed with their passion to develop & improve players, their vision to take the club forward, encouraging any local players to join or return to the club plus their plans to integrate the Youth team into the First Team setup.

"They will take charge immediately with their first game on Sat 3rd February 3pm at home to Shifnal Town.
