Oswestry Town go for Matt Burton as the new manager
Matt Burton has taken over as FC Oswestry Town manager as the club start to build for the new season in the North West Counties League.
Burton arives after a spell as Haughmond boss, and the Shrewsbury-based side were relegated from the Midland League Premier Division.
A club spokesman said: “As an ex Oswestry Town player, Matt brings with him a wealth of experience at step 5 and 6.
“We look forward to supporting Matt to bring success to our club.”
Burton takes over from Ryan Butcher, who announced he was stepping down from the role due to increased work commitments.
Town finished fourth bottom (19th) in the Hallmark North West Counties League Division One in what has been a fluctuating season for the border club.
