Ludlow Colts thrash City to stay perfect
Ludlow Colts continued their excellent start to the season with a 4-1 win over Hereford City.
The victory moved the Colts up to second in Division One of the Herefordshire County League.
After a scrappy start to the game, Tom Swinbourne fired Ludlow in front when he pounced on a poor backpass and finished past the keeper.
Hereford hit back to level soon after, but the Colts were back ahead before the break, Martin Jones firing home after a tactical switch saw him move into midfield.
Ludlow were made to fight for it after the break as their opponents continued to battle and the points were only made safe when Jabez Smith scored a fine individual goal. Andrew Pugh added the fourth late on.
Ludlow Colts visit Ross Juniors, who also boast a perfect record after two games, this Saturday.
