Town overcame the odds last Saturday as they came out on top in the semi-finals of the West Midlands Moving Forwards Sports Cup and Shropshire Senior Cup semi-finals by beating Sikh Hunters and Allscott 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

The last-four fixtures were held at 3pm and then 6pm, first at Shifnal and then at Market Drayton, and the club have been disappointed to discover they face a repeat of the scheduling joint-boss Danny Carter labelled ‘ridiculous’ on finals weekend this Saturday.

First they tackle OJM Black Country at 3pm in the West Midlands Cup final at Tipton Town FC, before the Senior Cup final against Whitchurch Alport at AFC Telford United – roughly 30 miles away – at 6pm.

Shifnal already won promotion from the West Midlands Premier Division on average points due to the non-league restructure.

They are in TJ Vickers Cup final action tonight, also against Alport, at the New Bucks Head, as they aim to make it a treble-winning cup week.
