Town make the trip to Oxford this evening before hitting the road again on Friday night for the televised trip to Bury.
Both opponents are in the top 10 of League Two but Graham Turner's side are buoyed by moving up to fourth in the table and now find themselves on the edge of the automatic promotion berths.
Victory tonight, coupled with a Rotherham defeat at Stevenage, would see Shrewsbury break back into the top three.
And Turner, encouraged by his side's displays in the last three games, is eyeing a profitable week on the road.
"We hope for six points and that is what we will work towards," said the Town boss.
"I think most sensible people would settle for four.
"Realistically speaking, if we are unbeaten in the two games and can win one of them, that would be a decent return.
"Oxford usually have a reasonable crowd who get behind their team and it's never an easy place to go to.
"But I just feel with our lads, the signs are beginning to look quite good again and we hope we take the positives from more than matching the leaders (Chester- field) on Saturday into tonight."
Turner, who described his squad as looking "as sharp as a razor" in training yesterday, could name an unchanged team for the third successive game.
Midfielder Craig Disley is on course to overcome a minor hip problem which saw hit sit out training yesterday.
Dutch forward Benjamin van den Broek has also made a return to full training after a lengthy injury absence but tonight's trip will come too soon.
Oxford, who have a mixed record of six victories, six defeats and one draw on home territory, are likely to include former Town forward James Constable in their squad.
