Talk of the Town Jake Robinson has admitted he is caught "between a rock and a hard place" — regardless of the outcome of Shrewsbury play-off battle with Torquay.

Robinson is expected to line up against his parent club Shrewsbury for Torquay, where he has been on loan since January, in Saturday's first leg at Plainmoor and next Friday's Greenhous Meadow return.

The 24-year-old has already scored twice for Torquay when they defeated Town 5-0 at Plainmoor in March.

And he admits he can scarcely believe the fates have thrown up another two meetings between the sides — in which promotion will be on the line.

"A few people said Shrewsbury and Torquay will meet in the play-offs a while ago but I never thought it would happen," said Robinson.
