Consistent left-back Joe Jacobson has set Shrewsbury Town a twin target for this weekend's return to League Two action – improving their clean sheet ratio and avoiding an 'After the Lord Mayor's Show' display.

Town began preparations for Saturday's visit of Torquay today fresh from a gallant display in their 3-1 Carling Cup exit to Arsenal at The Emirates in front of a crowd just short of 47,000.

Shrewsbury have earned widespread plaudits for their display against Arsene Wenger's side.

But Jacobson admits that memorable night must now be put to one side as Town aim to continue their excellent League Two form which has seen them win five of their last six outings.

"Arsenal was a great occasion for the club but that's gone now and the League has got our full focus," said the 24-year-old Welsh left back, who signed from Accrington in the summer.
