Shrewsbury's Paul Parry prepared for Carlisle clash
Shrewsbury midfielder Paul Parry could be back in the team for this weekend's home clash with Carlisle.
Parry has missed the last two games, against Wolves and Bradford City, after limping out of their previous match against Bristol City with a hip injury.
But the 33-year old former Cardiff City, Preston North End and Hereford United player has been working hard to get himself back to fitness this week.
And if he comes through training tomorrow with no ill effects, he will be under consideration for a return to action at the weekend. Turner said: "He's been doing a fair amount of physical work and I expect him to be in with the squad again tomorrow.
"We will see how he goes for the rest of the week.
"If he joins in on Thursday and looks OK then he'll be in consideration because he hasn't been out that long that he needs too much training or a reserve match.
"He should be ready if he's over his injury."
Should he return on Saturday, it will be another boost for Turner, who is now starting to get several players coming back into contention after injuries and suspensions.
Fellow midfielder Jon Taylor should also be back in the frame having missed last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Bradford because of a one-match ban.
Taylor was red-carded for a handball offence in the derby clash with Wolves and he also picked up a minor ankle injury.
But Turner said: "He is on course to be available this weekend.
"He has trained well so he will be fit for the weekend."
Defender Tamika Mkandawire is also back in contention again, having made a cameo from the substitutes bench at Bradford after recovering from a hamstring injury and played in yesterday's reserves clash with?Wigan.
But the club will have to assess midfielder Dave McAllister after he was withdrawn from yesterday's game having picked up a knock on his knee in the first half.
Reserve team boss Mike Jackson said he had been taken off as a precaution but it was not yet clear if the player will have recovered in time for Saturday.
