The Frenchman has been involved in all Town's last four goals, scoring three and winning a penalty for the other, as Micky Mellon's side prepare to go to Coventry tomorrow.

Akpa Akpro, is known as 'Premier League Jean-Louis' around the club for his ability.

But inconsistency means a mixture of excitement and frustration over his performances – and Mellon is hoping the powerful forward remains in form for the trip to the Sky Blues, who are unbeaten at home.

The Town boss said: "That's the big question you ask every single game and that's why football is fantastic.

"You just hope you're going to get what it says on the tin, and we'll prepare hoping we'll get 'Premier League Jean-Louis.'

"My boys play FIFA and no-one ever seems to play poorly on it. Everyone seems to run the same and before the game you know exactly how much energy he's got.

"They say 'I'm top of the league, dad' so I tell them all the time 'in real life, it doesn't work like that!'"

Coventry-born James Collins will be involved despite preparing to become a father for the first time after his partner went into labour.

Mellon said: "He wasn't in yesterday because she was being induced, but he'll be fine for the game."
