The 29-year-old is due to undergo a medical at Valley Parade after agreeing a two-year deal.

He rejected offers from Southend, Bury and Gillingham in favour of moving to West Yorkshire.

Knight-Percival, whose contract had expired, rejected a new deal at the Greenhous Meadow.

His departure became clear after he failed to re-appear for the start of pre-season training eight days ago.

The former Wrexham and Histon centre back made 77 appearances for Town and scored six goals after joining on a free transfer from Peterborough two years ago.

Nicknamed 'Rolls Royce' for his assured performances, his exit will be seen as a big blow to Town fans after he emerged as a solid leader.
