The club confirmed its partnership with bottled water manufacturers Montgomery Waters.

Salop announced the decision to seek a new sponsor for the upcoming season last year, after ending its deal with Greenhous.

The news means that The Meadow will now be known as the Montgomery Waters Meadow for at least the next two years.

In a statement online, the club confirmed the decision:

"Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce their new partnership with stadium sponsor Montgomery Waters."

"Montgomery Waters, one of the UK's leading bottled water manufacturers, are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Shropshire/Powys border, nestled beneath a small range of former volcanic hills around the little rural village of Churchstoke in the county of Montgomeryshire."

Richard Hill, commercial manager at Shrewsbury Town said he was thrilled to announce the new partnership.

"I am delighted that we are able to get Montgomery Waters on board." he said.

"As a sports club set in the countryside, in an area of spectacular beauty, it seems a perfect pairing with a company that has strong environmental ethics and provides a product that is natural, healthy and sourced locally."

Meanwhile Paul Delves, managing director of Montgomery Water also expressed his happiness at securing the deal.

“We are absolutely delighted to be stadium sponsor for our local football league club, there are so many synergies between the two organisations, from now and for at least the next two years the stadium will be known as Montgomery Waters Meadow.” he said.

Andy McAdam commercial director at Montgomery Waters added:

“We are so pleased that Shrewsbury Town will be able to offer our range of naturally sourced healthy hydration products within the stadium.

"We’re looking forward to working with Shrewsbury Town, and can’t wait for the season to start”.
