Town have made 14 signings this summer, the last of those being Ben Godfrey on loan from Norwich City until January.

After completing that deal, it was thought the club were done but Hurst says there is still a chance of a players coming in, and possibly some outgoings.

He said: “I am loath to say we are done because football has got a habit of things happening.

“I look myself, on the internet, trawling news and see who is doing what.

“Then, all of a sudden, there seems to be so many people linked and moves going through. From that point of view, who knows?

“We might get a call that we were not expecting and its a decision on a player.

“I haven’t stopped looking altogether, I’ll be honest about that.

“But when I brought in Ben, I did think it was it and I said that was us done.”

He added: “I guess that it is a case of just keep checking.”

This summer, Town have brought in two goalkeepers in Dean Henderson and Craig MacGillivray.

Three defenders have joined – James Bolton, Zak Jules and Omar Beckles.

The same number of midfielders have come in – Jon Nolan, Ebou Adams and Ben Godfrey.

And six attackers have been snapped up – Daniel James, Lenell John-Lewis, Arthur Gnahoua, Niall Ennis, Carlton Morris and Stefan Payne.

When asked what else may be needed, Hurst added: “There is an obvious position, straight away, which is left-back.

“But the recruitment I have done, I have perhaps sacrificed that because I’ve got a couple of lads who can go there.

“If Junior (Brown) keeps doing what he is doing, there’s no qualms

“He might get an injury or a sending off, though. You don’t know.

“That’s one position and maybe one area we’d benefit from having another option.

“My phone will be on, I’m just hoping it’s not glued to my ear.”
