Bernard McNally: It’s tough to see AFC Telford staying up

Looking at it now, I fear the worst for AFC Telford United.

It is tough to see them getting out of the National League North drop zone.

When you are down there, you need physicality in the team.

It’s nothing new, the Bucks have needed more of a physical edge for a while – but the players brought in recently do not seem to have addressed that problem.

There has to be a blend and, right now, there is too much youth in the Telford squad.

It is getting to the point where the Telford hierarchy may have to look at chucking money at it, in order to stay up.

A tough decision, of course. Recruitment is not easy and whether that is a viable option or not we will have to see – but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Either way, it is a tough time for Rob Edwards and his players.

I really hope they can get the results to remain in the division.
