Shrewsbury Town fans snapping up tickets for Wembley cup final
Shrewsbury Town fans were quick off the mark today in snapping up tickets for the Checkatrade trophy final against Lincoln City.
More than 1,500 tickets were sold online within the first 90 minutes of going on sale at 8am.
Phone lines opened at 9am and call handlers were inundated with requests for tickets.
The cup final is at Wembley on April 8. From as little as £10 per child and up to £60 per adult, the tickets are selling fast and it seems that the club's prediction of taking more than 20,000 fans to the London stadium could come true.
