Former Shrewsbury loan man Carlton Morris faces lengthy injury lay-off
Former Shrewsbury loanee Carlton Morris is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines with the knee injury he sustained in the play-off final at Wembley.
Striker Morris, 22, scored 10 times in 54 games for Town last season. He helped earn Shrews two trips to the national stadium, scoring in the Checkatrade Trophy last-four victory over Yeovil and against Charlton in the second leg of the play-off semi-finals.
But Morris, who has now returned to Norwich City, limped off at Wembley less than 10 minutes after Alex Rodman had hauled Town level in the final against Rotherham last Sunday.
He admitted afterwards that the injury did not look good, and it has now been confirmed by the Canaries that he suffered damage to his anterior cruciate ligament.
