Charlie Colkett aims to call the shots for Shrewsbury Town
New-boy Charlie Colkett is out to excite Shrewsbury Town fans by ‘dictating football games’ for John Askey’s side.
The 21-year-old midfielder has joined Salop on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
He spent last campaign out at Dutch club Vitesse and has also had temporary spells at Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers.
On what supporters can expect from him, Colkett said: “They can expect some excitement. Hopefully I’ll get them off their feet.
“I’ll bring a bit of control to the game and definitely bring them some joy.
“I can definitely create goals and I will be dictating football games for us.
“I know what to expect, I’m more prepared and ready to go.
“I’m very excited and raring to go and literally can’t wait to get started.
“There are ups and downs in football and last season didn’t go to plan but, like I said, I’m raring to go and really glad to be here.”
