Lifumpa Mwandwe signs professional terms at Shrewsbury Town
Shrewsbury Town youngster Lifumpa Mwandwe has been rewarded with a professional deal after a run of impressive displays for the club's youth side.
The 17-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a contract which runs until the summer of 2020.
He scored five goals in a 6-1 youth team victory against Doncaster Rovers at the weekend.
"I’m pleased that he’s signed. He’s done really well in the youth team and when he’s been involved the first team," said Town boss John Askey.
“He’s shown a lot of promise and for a club like Shrewsbury it’s important that we have players coming through.
“He’s an exciting player and one who’s been scoring a lot of goals."
