Fellow striker Aaron Amadi-Holloway scored his first goal for the club as a back-up Shrewsbury team, albeit made up of senior first-team squad members, eased to their second win from two South Central group games.

Hosts Walsall played a mostly youth side in the game, held at the Birmingham FA's base.

Askey's men added to the 3-0 win over Bristol Rovers with the victory by the same scoreline, with all goals coming in the second half.

Town's XI: Arnold; Sears, Kennedy, Sadler; Gnahoua, Loft, Barnett, Eisa, Gilliead; Amadi-Holloway, John-Lewis.
