Shrewsbury to face Port Vale and Stockport County in Papa John's Trophy

Shrewsbury Town will take on newly promoted sides Port Vale and Stockport County in the Papa John's Trophy - alongside a Premier League Under 21s side.

The draw for the competition was made on Monday - with Salop being placed in group C alongside the newly promoted sides.

Port Vale are back in League One after their play=off success - and Stockport returned to the EFL after a long spell in non-league as they were crowned National League Champions.

The fourth member of the group will be drawn at 11.30am, and it will be an under 21 side from Everton, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Newcastle or Wolves.
