What’s next on the agenda for Shrewsbury summer rebuild?
Planning for next season is well underway at Shrewsbury Town – but what needs to be decided before the League One campaign gets underway?
Manager/ head coach
Perhaps the most important appointment of the summer is who will be in charge of the team next year. The Shropshire Star revealed last week the club will move away from having a manager as they look to appoint a head coach.
But they need to be efficient with the search as there are only 54 days until the League One season starts.
Players will be returning from their summer holidays soon for pre-season training and it would be good if Town have got the hunt for a head coach wrapped up by that point.
With the changes off the pitch, including bringing new director of football Micky Moore, there is likely to be a change on the pitch.
Town are looking to create a new identity and the Shropshire Star understands they will decide on a system before recruiting players to suit that system.
