Shrewsbury Town kick-off recruitment drive with two good deals
After a slow start to the summer Shrewsbury Town have finally got the ball rolling – and it is a promising start.
It has been an eventful summer so far at the Croud Meadow which has seen former boss Steve Cotterill move on and replaced by new head coach Matt Taylor.
The decision to part ways with Cotterill took Shrewsbury a long time, but since Micky Moore started his role early in June things have started moving in the right direction.
His first job was to recruit a new head coach – he has now done that.
That decision is a risk for Moore as Taylor’s only managerial experience came during an eight-month spell at Walsall – but the club’s director of football says you should not be defined by one job. Only time will tell to see how the appointment plays out.
Initial signs are positive though, within days of the new boss being unveiled, Town got to work bringing in some reinforcements.
