Exclusive: Shrewsbury Town captain Luke Leahy hands in transfer request
Shrewsbury Town skipper Luke Leahy has handed in a transfer request, the Shropshire Star understands.
Leahy, who was made captain of the club at the start of last season, started every single League One game and was integral to Salop's 12th-placed finish.
The club took up an option to extend his deal at the Croud Meadow at the end of the season which now sees him enter his last year in Shropshire.
There has been interest in the central midfielder this summer and the club have rejected several bids for his signature.
