Shrewsbury Town ‘project’ excites new boy Morgan Feeney
Morgan Feeney has revealed Micky Moore and Matt Taylor played a ‘massive’ part in getting him to join the club.
The centre-half joined Salop a few weeks ago signing a two-year deal after his contract ran out at his recently-promoted former club Carlisle United.
He comes as a right-sided centre-back and a like-for-like replacement for Matthew Pennington – who has gone on to join Blackpool after his contract ran out at The Croud Meadow this summer.
Feeney’s former club Carlisle were promoted to League One this season, but he turned down a contract with the Cumbrians to move to Shropshire.
And Feeney says the club’s director of football Moore and new head coach Taylor played an essential part in his move with their plans to take Shrewsbury forward.
