Matt Taylor targets more Shrewsbury arrivals

Shrewsbury Town Head Coach Matt Taylor is hoping for a positive week on the recruitment front by adding more quality to the squad – as decision day looms on midfielder Taylor Perry.

Several new faces have already checked in at the Croud Meadow since Taylor’s arrival, but the squad is still short on numbers, and he continues to work closely with Director of Football Micky Moore to try and make further breakthroughs ahead of the big kick-off against Cheltenham a week on Saturday.

Former Wolves midfielder Perry has been on trial with Shrewsbury, and put in another bright display in the 1-1 draw with Coventry City in Saturday’s friendly.

“Taylor is someone that we were all well aware of having played a lot of his football at this level,” said Taylor.

“We were due to make a decision last Tuesday but a game we had lined up got cancelled so

Micky and I will have to make a call on it.
