But here we are. There is a new manager in situ, a new football board and new players about to begin another gruelling 46-game League One campaign.

The opening game of the season, against Cheltenham Town, has been called the ‘Micky Moore derby’ by some. Salop’s new director of football joined from the Robins at the start of the summer and he has since recruited several members of staff from Gloucestershire.

That much so it prompted Cheltenham boss Wade Elliott to joke last week about nailing everything down to stop Moore from taking anything else.
