Salop put in a disappointing performance in Hertfordshire as they were beaten 2-0 by newly promoted Stevenage courtesy of two second-half goals.

Aaron Pressley scored his first goal for the club just before the hour mark before Jamie Reid added a second three minutes before stoppage time.

Town were unable to wrestle the momentum back from their hosts and they fell to their first defeat of the league season.

"I thought that it was a game of both boxes," Taylor said when asked for his thoughts on the game.

"We were not clinical enough in their box.
