Matt Taylor says Shrewsbury have 'set the benchmark' with Burton Albion display
Delighted boss Matt Taylor reckons Shrewsbury Town set the benchmark for their home performances with Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Burton.
Town made it two wins from two at Croud Meadow thanks to goals from Tom Bayliss and returning skipper Chey Dunkley.
Taylor was pleased with the way his players bounced back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat at Stevenage.
He said: “Genuinely, I think this is huge for us as a group. For the players to understand how good they can be.
“We now can’t perform like we did last Saturday when we host Lincoln this weekend. We have set the benchmark for home performances.
