Dave Edwards: Matt Taylor has got time to get ideas across to Shrewsbury players
It was a shame to see Shrewsbury’s winning run at home come to an end.
Playing back-to-back home games might have been enough to get them over the line and put them on nine points, which would have been an unbelievable start from first four games.
But saying that, with two wins and two losses, I don’t think Matt Taylor will be too disappointed.
Due to the amount of games and the size of the squad, it was always going to be a difficult task against Lincoln.
They haven’t got a lot of room to manoeuvre and with two tough away games at Leeds and Stevenage, Shrewsbury had a short turnaround and it was always going to catch up at some point.
Matt Taylor will be hoping for a little bit more time to work with his players on the training field and from a physical point of view it’s been very demanding for Shrewsbury.
