Shrewsbury sweat on Jordan Shipley fitness
Shrewsbury Town are assessing the fitness of wing-back Jordan Shipley after he picked up a serious-looking knee injury at the weekend.
The 25-year-old played a huge part in Salop’s 12th-placed League One finish, making more than 40 appearances last campaign.
But he picked up what appeared to be a bad injury at the weekend in the early stages of the game and he had to be replaced by Mal Benning.
Shipley later left Highbury Stadium on crutches and with a brace around his knee and the Town boss has said they are assessing the extent of the problem.
He said: “We don’t know what the situation is with Jordan. We won’t know that until he has had a scan.
