A summer of change gives Town a fresh new outlook

So much has changed at The Croud Meadow since the final game of last season – but how good has Salop’s summer been?

Well, early-season results – which have seen the team pick up three wins from the first five games of the League One campaign – would say so far, so good.

But so much has happened it has been hard to digest, so let’s go back to the start.

Solid foundations

The first thing Matt Taylor and Micky Moore did was to bring Carl Winchester back to the club – widely regarded as a smart move, which won fans over from the get-go.

Winchester, surprisingly, has spent most of his time this season playing at right-wing-back, but his versatility offers Taylor a solution in various positions.

They followed that up with the arrival of Morgan Feeney, who joined after running down his contract with today’s opponents Carlisle United, signing a two-year deal.
