Matt Taylor accepts Shrewsbury pressure
Matt Taylor says he is trying to remove pressure from his Shrewsbury players to get the best out of them.
Salop got back to winning ways – for the first time since August 26 – at the weekend as they beat Northampton Town 1-0 thanks to Dan Udoh’s late goal.
The Shrews players have been under pressure of late having only scored five times in their 11 League One games and up to Saturday they had gone more than 770 minutes without scoring a goal.
When the team is in a tough spot, Taylor believes it is his responsibility as head coach to remove the pressure from his players so they can perform at their best.
