Keeper Harry Burgoyne pushing Shrewsbury Town's Jason Sraha
Shrewsbury Town defender Jason Sraha says his team-mate Harry Burgoyne pushes him on every single day in training.
The defender has been in sensational form of late since coming into the team after Morgan Feeney picked up an injury in the win against Northampton.
Sraha has made the left centre-back position his own since coming into the side.
And the defender revealed that encouragement comes from an unlikely source with Burgoyne pushing him on in training and re-assuring him he is doing the right thing.
He said: “Harry drives me every single day.
“When I am training and when I am with him he pushes me every single day and he tells me to keep doing what I am doing.
“He is a massive help in my day-to-day training. Harry is a good lad.
“He is massive in the dressing room, if Harry says something people listen. He has a good persona about him in the changing room. Harry is such a big character.”
And Burgoyne is not afraid to give him instructions either.
“Oh absolutely,” he joked when asked if Burgoyne bosses him around in training.
“For sure, for sure – but that is just Harry though isn’t it?”
Sraha is preparing to travel to his old club Barnsley tonight, and getting a result at Oakwell would mean a lot to him.
He said: “It is my old club, and I feel like any player who goes to their old team wants to win. It is no different for me.”
