George Nurse gives Shrewsbury Town boost as recovery from ACL injury continues
Shrewsbury Town wing-back George Nurse is back out on the grass with his team-mates as he recovers from his long-term injury.
The defender suffered his second anterior cruciate ligament injury in the space of 12 months during Town’s pre-season programme.
He has had surgery, and he is now upping his rehabilitation by doing certain exercises with the club’s medical team on the training ground, though remains some way off a return to action.
The Town boss said: “He is doing really well, it has been great to have him back.
“George had a week off at the beginning of it all, which I think is really important with his partner and his child.
“Especially now, as this time around it will be harder mentally for him, because he will understand the process he will know it.
