Shrewsbury keep keen eye on loaned out striking duo - as Matt Taylor discusses recalls
Shrewsbury Town head to Blackpool today with only two senior strikers available to Matt Taylor.
Loanee Kieran Phillips has been ruled out for a considerable period with a knee injury, and Max Mata is away with New Zealand on international duty.
So that leaves Dan Udoh and Ryan Bowman available for the boss to select for the match against the Tangerines.
Town have two of their own forwards, Tom Bloxham and Aiden O’Brien, out on loan at Morecambe and Sutton United respectively.
And with the injury to Phillips, Town have the option of recalling those loan players in January – if they feel they would add firepower in forward areas.
And Taylor has spoken to the Shropshire Star about Bloxham and O’Brien in great detail.
