The two clubs finished as respective champions and runners-up in the Dafabet Welsh Premier last season, and both have a good pedigree in the cup competition.

The Saints have lifted the trophy for the past two seasons, and seven times in all, while Bala have twice been beaten finalists, one of which was against TNS.

But the league leaders will start as firm favourites, having defeated the Lakesiders twice in just four days during September.

With his side taking part in the IRN BRU Scottish Cup for the first time on Saturday, boss Craig Harrison is likely to make changes as he rotates his strong squad.

TNS can go into tonight's tie with some confidence, having won all 10 Welsh Premier games this season to storm clear at the top. Aberystwyth Town became the Saints' latest victims when swept aside 5-1 at Newtown's Latham Park.
