The New Saints look to defend Nathaniel MG Cup trophy
The New Saints set their sights on a semi-final place in the Nathaniel MG Cup when they head to Bangor City.
After 14 straight wins in all competitions this term, few would bet against the Saints progressing in a cup they have won for the past two seasons.
As in the previous round's win against Bala Town, they are certain to rotate the squad for the quarter-final, particularly having played Newtown in the Welsh Premier less than 48 hours earlier.
"Playing on Sunday, and then Tuesday, is a tough schedule, and whether it's a cup game or league, we would make changes," said manager Craig Harrison. "But we've got a strong squad, and we'll be looking to defend the cup."
Saints must wait until next week before discovering who they will play in the quarter-finals of the IRN-BRU Scottish Cup. They had been due to visit Livingston, but their opponents have been ordered to replay their fourth round tie with Crusaders after fielding an ineligible player.
That match has been arranged for Tuesday, November 1, with TNS scheduled to meet the winners the following Sunday.
