The New Saints ex-coach Carl Darlington joins Wrexham
Former The New Saints coach Carl Darlington has returned to Conference Premier side Wrexham.
Darlington, who quit his role at Park Hall earlier this month, will assist Dragons boss Dean Keates. He will do the job part-time, combined with his role as head of coach education for the Welsh Football Trust.
"I'm delighted to get Darlo in, as he's someone who can help me personally, someone I can learn from and develop," Keates said.
"He is a local lad, the club means everything to him."
Darlington was previously assistant manager at the Racecourse to Kevin Wilkin, but left the club when Gary Mills was appointed.
Meanwhile, Saints boss Craig Harrison is bidding to win the Welsh Premier manager of the year award for the third straight year after making a four-man shortlist.
Harrison steered The New Saints to the title for the sixth straight year and 11th time in their history, as well as winning the League Cup.
He is up against Andy Morrison (Connah’s Quay), Colin Caton (Bala Town) and Huw Griffiths (Cefn Druids).
