Penybont secured an impressive 2-0 victory at Connah’s Quay Nomads last weekend, a result which boosted the JD Cymru Premier title hopes of TNS.

Both TNS and Nomads have collected 60 points from 24 league games this season, with Oswestry-based Saints top on goal difference with eight matches now remaining.

Looking ahead to the clash against fifth-placed Penybont, Brobbel said: “I think they’ve been doing well recently. They obviously got a good result against Connah’s Quay, which helped us out last week, and they’ll probably be looking for another scalp against us at the weekend, so we’ve just got to take each game as it comes and hopefully win again.”

Brobbel was the star turn for Saints in Tuesday night’s excellent 6-0 victory at Barry Town United, scoring four times during a fine display. He has now scored eight goals in four matches since returning from injury.

“I’ve scored a few hat-tricks obviously at TNS, but it was nice to get four,” said Brobbel. “It’s the first time I’ve done it in my career and it was just nice to help the lads obviously win the game.”

Head coach Anthony Limbrick has enjoyed victory in his first two games in charge of Saints following his appointment earlier this month.

He expects Penybont to provide tough opposition tomorrow as the Championship Conference continues, with the league’s top six and bottom six clubs splitting for the second phase of the season.

Limbrick said: “I think they’re all tough when you have a split like this. You’re playing against the better teams in the league, so no doubt it will be tough.

“It will be really nice for us to get back to the home ground. We enjoy playing there, a big pitch, and we’ll be able to hopefully show more of what we can do.”
