After a goalless first half, new boss Anthony Limbrick responded with a double change at half-time, bringing on Greg Draper and Jamie Mullan.

And the changes paid off as Draper – the Saints all-time record goalscorer – finished a cutback from Louis Robles to give them the lead in the 66th minute of the match.

Caernarfon gave TNS a helping hand with seven minutes remaining when Noah Edwards was sent off for pulling back Mullan.

And when Chris Marriott hit the crossbar with the resulting free-kick, Blaine Hudson was on hand to tap home the rebound and secure all three points for TNS.

Closest challengers Connah’s Quay Nomads remain level on points with TNS after scoring twice inside the final five minutes to beat Bala Town by the same scoreline.

Declan Poole and George Horan were on target.
