Mick McCarthy is calling for the fiery 'up and at 'em' game-plan of underdogs tonight as Wolves try to win back the support of all Molineux against Manchester City.

The Carling Cup fourth round tie against the richest club in world football returns McCarthy and his team to the scene of Saturday's ugly mood which saw some fans demanding the end of his five-year reign during the 2-2 draw with Swansea.

McCarthy emerged from the battlefront grateful for what he described as "fantastic support" from fans, club officials and players.

Both managers will field much-changed line-ups although, but the Molineux boss hopes City's presence – and the team's current troubles – triggers a rousing display of resistance.
