Delay for Wolves in search for new coach
Wolves boss Stale Solbakken this afternoon admitted his search for a coach has become "more complicated" over financial negotiations.
Solbakken said on Friday he had narrowed his search down to a shortlist of two following interviews after the departure of Terry Connor two weeks ago.
But it appears a rethink is on the cards over his preferred choice.
The Norwegian quickly ruled out big names such Ray Wilkins and Joe Jordan, while Bolton academy director Sammy Lee and ex-Villa reserve team manager Kevin MacDonald were also linked, but there are plenty of other applicants.
"I don't want to say there's been a setback but maybe it's a little more complicated than we first thought over certain things," Solbakken said.
"It's always like that – this could either be a free transfer or a fee. I don't think it will be an expensive one but it could be one where we need to negotiate.
"We're still searching. We've interviewed some people but there are always hiccups along the way."
